Tailored Retreats for Individuals

 

There are many waypoints and junctures on the life path. At such times is beneficial to take time to assess and re-assess.  In doing that one can avoid the pitfalls of going back to what is familiar out of fear. Image a possibility where you could take time to think, reflect and process, and have space for yourself while being supported and accompanied in the ways you wish for. To have a place to take a pause from the demands of everyday life to restore, reconnect to what your essential self wants to communicate to you, connect to your heart and soul, and listen within to what is being asked of you.

 

At one of those points in my life, this was what  I required, I needed a warm, welcoming bedroom with my own space to be and think, while also knowing that I could have company when required. This company was a  mentor who I could check in with every other day. I can still remember some of  the questions that this person asked me.  Such as why do you tolerate this? What do you truly long for? Tell me more about feeling lost. These questions caused me to ponder my life and really ask the why’s see possibilities. I found that I needed to sleep to process the big change I was going through and the feeling of being held by others while being alone allowed me the deep rest that my body and soul needed.

    As a result of this retreat time, I  was able w to say goodbye with grace to a business of 25 years and to start the process of following my heart with coaching training and equine assisted learning studies. I ultimately moved from city living to the country and created a whole new life that is rich and blessed to overflowing.

 

I now work with others at such transitions similar open questions when supported, The work offered to date has been running groups retreats and one to one short in person and online sessions for adults and young adults. I am seeing a similar need that I had years ago for longer durations for individuals. in many case who want to make courageous decisions to redefine who they are. They need to be held in a safe way to break the habitual cycles of thought that so often cut them off their deeper wisdom and insight. The many tools available with my work and my own life experience can assist in making these courageous and often life changing decisions. The need too to  rest , to allow  and  to take time away from the digital demands of an office creates the opportunities for  deeper calmer  and wiser self to emerge.

 

 

The offering is an ‘a la carte ‘ retreat package, where one can choose from list of services. This will suit individual requirements and situations.

 

The retreat time as a sanctuary space ideally could be three days as this is a good time to take the time to arrive, to let go, and to drop into your own insights and life possibilities.

We can also tailor for one, two days, and week-long time out.

Accommodation

 

We can recommend excellent local places to stay where you can really chill, and have wonderful walks. This is in town or in a rural setting and there are a number of choices that we highly recommend. In some cases,  depending on requirements you can stay in our sanctuary which is a self-contained flat beside where we live. This all can be discussed in the initial call

 

Meals

 

With my background in wellness for over twenty-five years, I am passionate about food as healing and restoring. We can offer delicious and nutritious meals mainly vegetarian and vegan. We use as much as possible organic and local produce. We can also avail of local fare with some choice restaurants which we can recommend especially if there are a number of days in the offering

 

 

 

Soul Coaching and Mentoring sessions

 

This offers the opportunity to look at your life. Sessions are a thought-provoking and creative process. They can inspire you to maximize your personal and professional potential and to get clear as to what you truly wish. This work operates on the premise that you have all the answers with you. We work too with an Ancient Irish model of three-fold element of the human so as to come from mind to heart and to the actions required to move forwards with the life wished for.

 

  

 

 

 

Equine Assisted Learning Facilitation

 

Imagine going to a counselor or life coach and instead of seeing them in a room you meet them in the presence of a horse or horses. Horses have an uncanny ability to sense what is going on unconsciously and have fun and creative ways in reflecting this to people. They also assist in making connections with our hearts and away from our busy minds. No horse- riding is necessary, as all exercises are done on the ground. A love or fascination with these majestic animals assists             

 

Journaling sessions

 

Like meditation, journal writing helps to clear the mind by transcribing emotional clutter onto the written page. You become a witness to past behaviors which then pave the way for fresh thoughts and perspective. Journaling provides a forum that can be both cathartic and revelatory. The sessions will get you started with this tool and will be a wonderful way going forwards to clear the busy mind. A beautiful poem or piece of prose can emerge from the process as an extra bonus!.

 

Morning and Evening Heart Coherence Practices

 

Working with the HeartMath meditation is a heart-focused breathing meditation that can help you quickly change from feeling stressed to feeling calm. Science-based and used worldwide, HeartMath meditation uses breathing techniques to bring about coherence — the alignment of your physical, mental and emotional systems to work in sync. We bring in body centering practices to enhance being grounding intp your own being with  a sense of inner spaciousness and lightness

                                

 

Trip to a sacred sites

 

This part of Ireland has always been a place of pilgrimage. The sacred sites have held intention and ritual for over 5,000 years, the most famous is Croagh Patrick Mountain. To this day it is a place to journey to the top as part of an inner process. There are a number of other such sites, such as stone alignments, circles, wells, and labyrinths that can be chosen for your special time on this mystical land. Rituals at turning points can be a powerful way to mark completion’s beginnings in the life cycle. These places too can be power points to heal and clear worn-out negative habitual loops of life patterns. 

 

 

 

Ocean swims

 

Winter and Summer swimming or even deep into the sea, clears the static electrics picked up, is excellent in overcoming jet lag, resets the brain into a positive mindset, and refreshes the spirit. I took up winter swimming in the time of COVID lockdown and it has proven to be so therapeutic. I feel invincible afterward! This is now on the menu of choice for your retreat time

                

 

 

Body Work

 

You can avail of the healing hands of skilled therapists in reflexology, different massage modalities.. When processing changes it is important to care physically with good hydration, proper nutrition and bodywork that assists in detoxifying, grounding,  improving circulation, while enhancing well-being, and self-care practices.  

 

 

There are many more that you could add to your time such as a trip to one of the islands of Clew Bay, an evening to listen to Irish music, enjoying the sights, sounds, and shops of Westport town, cycling the greenway, or even climbing our sacred mountain.
